I am a very active person and I try to keep busy at all times. I have a very hard time just sitting and watching Livy play while she is taking a bath. I like to scrub her down and then give her time to play.
I have found that while she is playing, it is the perfect time for me to clean the bathroom. I can clean the sink, toilet, straighten up the cabinet all while she is happy and content. Plus, I am always in the bathroom with her so I know that she is safe. (No drowning hazards here!)
This way, the only thing that I must go back and take care of is cleaning the tub (can't do that while she is in it) and mop the floor.
I have also found that while Livy is playing in the tub is also a good time for me to do my makeup and hair. No grabby hands trying to get into things. (I normally bath Livy after her morning nap).

I do the same thing when Jack & Dan are in the tub! Well, I clean - I don't usually do makeup (especially at night).
I normally bath Livy during the day, after her morning nap.
Thanks for a great tip. There is a five year gap between my youngest and our baby that is due in August. I feel out of practice. : ) I'll remember this one. : )
Nathan loves baths but I am always afraid not to be right next to the tub because he is a little unsteady because the tub is slippery.
I got a bath mat at Babies R Us and it works out great. I also have a spout cover because I don't want her to bump her head. I am always in the bathroom and because my bathroom is so tiny I really don't feel to far away.
I totally do that too! I've stopped using any chemicals in bathroom cleaning b/c my kids are trapped in the room with me. So mostly it's vinegar. And they always want to taste it!
Yes, all of my cleaning supplies are non toxic and green for that reason. I'm glad that Livy hasn't asked to taste any of the vinegar that I use.
I've done this as well - it works pretty good!

I can get a million things done when my son is taking a bath! lol Cleaning the bathroom.. sometimes I bring a laptop in and read blogs LOL

When my kids were younger I would often put them in the tub on Sunday mornings - that way I could do my hair and make up...it was so convenient.
