Supplies Needed: Glass beads, wire (I used 28
gauge gold colored), bobby pins (I'm sure you could also use alligator clips...I will be trying this out soon. I also choose black bobby pins because you can use the bobby pins either as a pin to secure hair or as a
barrette) you will also need scissors or wire cutting pliers.

Step 1: Cut wire to about 12 inches. You may need a little less if doing a smaller flower. String on beads. I am making a small flower so I will use 10 beads per petal. You will use different amounts depending on the size of flower.

Step 2: Once threaded, twist into a loop. Twist a second time to secure the beads in place.

Step 3:
Repeat. Thread more beads and twist into petal shapes.

Step 4:
Continue until you have 5 petals.

Step 5: Take wire and string on 5 white beads for the center of the flower.

Step 6: Twist on top to make center and secure wire in back.

Alternate: You can also use one large bead to make the center.

Step 7: Take wire from back. Twist and secure to bobby pin. Afterwards apply a small amount of hot glue to fully secure.

Finished!

I have made several different kinds of beaded bobby pins. The yellow ones demonstrated were a small flower with 10 beads per petal. The medium flower (white flower) used 20 beads and the large (purple flower, partial cut off) uses 25 to 30 per petal.
You can also make heart, shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day, leaves, and butterflies.
